Honouring those who keep HMCS Sackville afloat

For over three decades, the Canadian Naval Memorial Trust has carried out its mission thanks to the generosity of its members, corporate supporters, and the Canadian public. Your support helps preserve HMCS Sackville, Canada’s Naval Memorial and the last surviving Flower-class corvette, so that the story of the Battle of the Atlantic and the people who served in it continues to be told.

Recognition is always your choice. When you give, please let us know whether you would like to be recognized publicly and how you would like your name to appear. If you prefer to give anonymously, simply let us know when you donate and your name will not be published.

Every gift matters, and the Trust issues a charitable tax receipt for donations of $10 or more.

  • Gifts of $10 to $499 are received with gratitude as General Donations. Donor information is not made public.

  • Gifts of $500 or more activate the Donor Recognition Program, which provides broader public acknowledgement of our major supporters, subject to the donor’s agreement.

We present a comprehensive suite designed to facilitate operational excellence and sustained growth.

How we say thank you

Unless a donor wishes to remain anonymous, Donor Recognition Program supporters are acknowledged in a variety of ways, including:

  • A commemorative plaque: a mounted photograph of HMCS Sackville with a tally plate showing the donor’s name, recognition level, and year of donation.

  • The Donor Honour Board binder: your name, level, and year of donation recorded in the binder displayed in the main flats aboard HMCS Sackville, updated annually.

  • Action Stations magazine: regular donor updates published for our supporters.

  • The online Donor Honour Board: a listing on this website.

  • Media releases: where appropriate.

  • Recognition every year you give: donors who make subsequent annual gifts are recognized in each year of their contribution. There is no commitment to give again.
